Versatility: 1 Fixture, 9 Ways

Four hand blown glass colors, six metal finish options and transitional style make the Grasse Sconce one versatile fixture. Here we explore nine ways the Grasse adapts to different styles and spaces.

Versatility, flexibility and adaptability are important traits that allow animals to survive, humans to thrive and man-made objects to have the widest appeal. Let's take blue jeans, for example. This wardrobe essential can be dressed up with pumps, dressed down with sneakers, paired with a sweatshirt, and cut into shorts. They are high rise and low rise, jeggings and wide leg, cropped and acid wash. Worn by your kids, your boss, yourself, all races and worldwide, people have donned them in factories, at school, to the Grammy's and at skate parks. Jeans are, quite possibly, the most flexible piece of clothing ever designed.

The Grasse Sconce features hand blown glass in orange, turquoise, white and grey. It has six metal finish options. Also available in ADA.

But Let's Talk About Lighting

Four hand blown glass colors, six metal finish options and make the transitional Grasse Sconce one versatile fixture. Think of the Grasse as the Levis of interior lighting. Designed by Jamie Drake for Boyd Lighting, the Grasse can be manufactured in 24 possible combinations (four hand blown glass colors and six metal finish options) to satisfy any taste and space. Oh, and it comes in an ADA version, as well. It has been used in glamorous bathrooms, beachy bedrooms, modern living rooms and classic kitchens. The Grasse is, quite possibly, one of the most flexible fixtures in Boyd's arsenal.

Here we explore nine ways the Grasse works beautifully in a variety of spaces:

Hanging above a credenza in a home office, the Grasse Sconce with white glass and a blackened brass metal finish has elements similar to the high contrast, black and white architectural photographs.

In this mood board for a California bedroom, the Grasse goes casual when paired with rustic woods and mixed metals. The fun pop of orange pulls the bright colors out of the throw pillows. The blue Grasse would also look great.

When Cathers Home - an interior design firm in Aspen, Colorado - filled this hall bathroom with wall to wall glass tile, the hand blown glass Grasse was a perfect choice. The soft white glass blends nicely into the monochromatic space. Photo by Michael Hefferon.

These two rooms by Kristi Will Home + Design in Half Moon Bay, California show just how versatile the Grasse can be. This kitchen design concept includes a pair of Grasse Sconces in orange. They will hang on either side of a large window, and will be mounted on a granite stone backsplash. Their 18 1/4" height is well-balanced next to the floor to ceiling cabinets.

This glamorous powder room is a story of repetition. Polished brass is brought in with the sink, faucet and white Grasse Sconces. Also found in the sconces, the color white is repeated in the wallpaper, counter top and roman shade.

Did you know we are giving away a pair of white Grasse Sconces?

If you can design a mood board, mock up a room photo, fill a Pinterest board or build a collage, you could win a pair of these beauties, together valued at over $2,000.

Deadline is Wednesday, August 31, 2016.

Designed by luxury brand broker, Wohnkultur in Berlin, Germany, this contemporary living room mood board features a pair of blue Grasse Sconces, which pull in the blues from the artwork. The satin brass metal finish is repeated in the accent table and other decorative elements.

Almost the opposite from the mood board above, these blue sconces pop against the dark blue walls in this otherwise white living room. Any of the glass colors would look great in this ocean-side space, bringing in an element of sea glass.

In another coastal style living room, casual meets fancy with a bohemian jute rug and sea-hued wall color paired with a tufted high-back settee and luxe side table. Stunning and polished, the white is the color of seafoam and the stem brings in a element of sea glass.

Similar to the polished brass and white theme in the bathroom above, this bedroom mood board is another example of how the Grasse Sconce goes glam. We love the way brass is used as the "pop of color" in this otherwise cool, colorless space.

Whatever your style and wherever the space, the Grasse Sconce is a beautiful choice. With superior quality by talented craftspeople, this fixture will last a lifetime which is good because, like your taste in blue jeans, as your style and needs change, the Grasse can adapt with you.
